Psychotherapy
The Art of Express, Heal, and Transform
Philosophy
I believe we all want to belong, be heard, be seen, and be loved. We are formed in relationships and we are hurt and harmed or helped and supported in relationships. Relationships are a wonderful resource for healthy change. It is not uncommon for me to invite important people in your life into the therapy room. Healthy relationships and attachments are the foundation of healthy human living. I will guide you to heal your relationship to Self, others, and connect with energy that supports learning and growth.
I am here to listen and hold space for you to heal emotional wounds, be released from extremes, integrate your nervous system, and restore your sense of Self-leadership. I put your body at the center of our work—your sensations and feelings—and draw upon modalities such as : symbolic experiential, IFS, feminist and multicultural perspectives, Satir, Bowen, and energy psychology.

Trained at Syracuse University’s College of Human Ecology in Couple and Family Therapy and Social Work, I consider your relationship with yourself, your family, society, and culture. My Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies guided me on the journey of balancing feminine and masculine ways of being and knowing. In accordance with my holistic outlook on health and meaning, I am also a certified Nia instructor, energy psychologist, YogaFit Teacher, and workshop designer and facilitator. I believe profound and lasting change occurs as I guide people in the process of self-integration of body, mind, emotion, and spirit.
We are social creatures by nature, longing to feel connected in enduring ways. What brings most people to therapy is a sense of disconnection from themselves, others, and life. We all want meaningful, lasting relationships where we can learn and grow rather than be hurt or harmed. I believe our most important relationship is with our bodies and our minds. I know that in order to cope and heal, we need to retrain our nervous systems. Trauma, abuse, loss, and oppression affect our brains, particularly the survival and emotional brain centers.
